The post-baccalaureate Certificate for Teachers of English Learners is designed to offer an option for prospective and current teachers who want to augment their skills for teaching English learners. This certificate program aims at current credential or MA students from other disciplines within the Charter College of Education (e.g., special education, single or multiple subjects) or credentialed teachers already in the field who want to better meet the needs of the English learners in their classes. For those who already possess an MA degree in a related field, the certificate may also meet the requirements to teach English as a Second Language classes at the community college level.
