The event will continue to honor faculty who will receive Outstanding Professor and Lecturer Awards. The event will also recognize the tremendous achievements of staff and students. Join us for The Ultimate "We Are LA" Campus Celebration on Wednesday, August 20, from 3 to 7 p.m. Held as part of the University Convocation and Investiture festivities, this lively, block party-style event will celebrate the spirit of Cal State LA and highlight the theme: "We Are LA: Empowering Dreams, Transforming Lives." Enjoy an exciting afternoon of live music from local bands and DJs, a classic and custom car show, delicious eats from fan-favorite food trucks, and a curated student art exhibit featuring submissions from across campus and awarding three top prizes.
Community Weekend caps off the Investiture celebration with two days of connection, culture, and community pride. From a lively on-campus community festival on Saturday to Cal State LA’s presence at CicLAvia on Sunday, the weekend honors our deep roots in Los Angeles and invites the region to celebrate with us.
