Let’s talk about it! Within the Asian and Pacific Islander community, there are a lot of diverse issues, topics, and histories to discuss. Let’s listen to each other and have an honest and open conversation in community with one another.
In this next LEAD workshop, students will identify their personal strengths through assessment and discussion and learn how to apply those strengths toward their leadership roles.
Now what? Now that the votes are counted, we'll convene to discuss the results of the November 2024 election. We’ll conclude the Civic Series with a post-election convening, "The Future of Democracy: Coming Home,” in which we’ll spotlight outcomes at the local and state levels. We’ll look at key local ballot measures and the discussion will focus on ways to stay active and engaged closer to home. The panel will touch on the national election and will analyze how congressional races impact legislative control, but we'll highlight local issues.
In our final LEAD workshop, students will learn how to accept and reframe experiences with failure and criticism and develop the necessary skills needed to better prepare themselves for these moments in the future.
