The Post Baccalaureate Program in Nutritional Science at Cal State LA provides students who have a bachelor's degree in a discipline outside of nutrition/dietetics with the knowledge and skills required by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) to become an entry-level registered dietitian nutritionist (RD or RDN). Upon successful completion of this program, students will be provided a verification statement, which will allow for application to a supervised practice program (dietetic internship). The curriculum also provides the foundation for students to continue their education in nutrition or related fields at the graduate level.
