Cal State LA's College of Education (COE) and fellow educators from the Los Angeles region came together on November 14, 2024, for an inspiring evening of connection and collaboration. Guests had the chance to meet the new COE dean, Dr. Marcos Pizarro, and Dr. Raul Cardoza (’67, ’73), the newly appointed chair of the Education Alumni Network.

On October 30, 2024, the Alumni Scholarship Committee, Alumni Association Board of Directors, friends, and loved ones celebrated the 2024-2025 Alumni Scholarship recipients and their achievements.

The greater Cal State LA community came together on October 10, 2024, for a vibrant celebration of Chicanx Latinx Heritage Month. Guests had the chance to meet Paul Gomez (’88), the newly appointed network chair, and hear from Vickie Castro (’73), a key leader in the historic 1968 East L.A. Blowouts. The evening also featured performances by our student-led folklórico and mariachi groups.

The Cal State LA Alumni Association, Associated Students, Incorporated, the Department of Political Science, and the Pat Brown Institute for Public Affairs hosted the inaugural Public Service Alumni and Students Networking Night on September 17, 2024. Guests heard from a panel of alumni professionals working in the fields of criminology, education, political science, public health, and social work.

Generations of alumni returned to campus on April 5 to honor and celebrate the notable accomplishments of 12 distinguished alumni at the 2024 Alumni Awards Gala. 

Golden Eagles turned out in full force for the NCAA Tailgate Reception on March 15, 2024. Alumni and the University community supported the Men's Basketball team as they prepared to compete in the 2024 Division II West Region Championship.

Held on February 26, 2024, the greater Cal State LA community celebrated Black History Month alongside the Black Alumni Network.

On October 12, 2023, the Cal State LA Entertainment & Arts Alumni Network held an exclusive industry discussion with the National Association of Latino Independent Producers, featuring NALIP Executive Director Diana Luna and CSU alumni Ian Cabalo and Jose Medina Rodriguez.

The greater Cal State LA community came together on October 6, 2023, to celebrate Latinx Heritage Month and the Chicanx Latinx University Alumni Network’s first anniversary. Guests were treated to performances by the Cal State LA Afro Latin Ensemble and John C. Fremont High School folklórico dancers.

Golden Eagle pride was in full swing at our fifth Cal State LA Night at Dodger Stadium! Attendees received a free Chris Taylor Bobblehead and a limited edition bucket hat.

On September 23, 2023, Sigma Nu Eta Phi Chapter Alumni reunite on campus to reminisce and reconnect.

The Chicanx Latinx University Alumni Network celebrated the start of summer with a mixer held at Brewjería Company on June 16, 2023.

Held on June 8, 2023, the Cal State LA Entertainment & Arts Alumni Network and CSU Entertainment Alliance hosted an industry chat with the National Hispanic Media Coalition.

On April 4, 2023, we celebrated the Class of 2023 and hosted our first in-person Grad Fair since 2019.

In recognition of their continued dedication and support, alumni volunteers were invited to an appreciation reception and performance by Patti Labelle on March 24, 2023.

Alumni, educators, students, and faculty returned to campus on March 16, 2023, to reconnect with the College of Education and Alumni Association.

The Entertainment & Arts Alumni network hosted a conversation around gender in media, featuring the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media. Held on March 14, 2023, attendees learned how the stories creatives choose to tell in entertainment media send a specific message about who matters most in our culture. 

Held on October 25, 2023, Alumni Board of Directors and university community gathered to celebrate our 2023-2024 scholarship recipients.

On February 16, 2023, the Black Alumni Network reunited for their first in-person event since the Network's founding in 2018.

The Business Alumni Network hosted a professional development webinar on October 25, 2022, with Laura Bashore, founder of Anew Resume and Career Services.

On September 15, 2022, we launched the Chicanx Latinx University Alumni Network, our eighth and newest alumni affinity network.

Our fourth Cal State LA Night at Dodger Stadium! Alumni celebrated Golden Eagle pride while supporting the LA Dodgers. Attendees received a free Dustin May Bobblehead and limited edition baseball cap.

On September 23, 2022, we had the honor of inducting alumni from the class of 1972 as the newest members of the Half-Century Club, a distinguished group of more than 12,000 alumni.

The Business Alumni Network hosted a professional development webinar on July 27, 2022, with Leily Sanchez, Senior Research Analyst at FleishmanHillard True Global Intelligence.

Generations of Diablos and Golden Eagles returned to campus for the 2022 Alumni Awards Gala, held on April 8, to celebrate 13 distinguished alumni.
